Accessing the Resource Module from Within the Project Module

Did you know in OpenAir you can access the Resource module from within the Project module?

If part of your resource management process includes Project Managers creating bookings (or allocations, staffing, resourcing, or any other name you may have defined in your OpenAir system), you may be having them leveraging the booking grid functionality within the project itself or having them enter allocations directly in the Resources module.   Using the booking grid limits you to strict record time periods to ensure data is displayed properly (i.e. Monthly or Weekly).  Entering data directly into the Resource module requires moving between modules when a Project Manager which may be impacting adoption of your process.

To take advantage of booking entry, maintenance, and chart visibility within the Projects module, you can add the Booking tab directly to the Projects module tab list.  It will appear first next to the Projects tab and contain all of the List, Worksheet/Grid, and Chart functionality as found in the Resources module.   To implement this feature, contact OpenAir Support and ask for the internal switch.
